Bishop James W. Morgan

Pastor Jim was born and raised in Dallas, Texas to Frances Louise Pasqua Morgan and James W. Morgan Sr., Italian and Irish immigrant families. Raised in the faith of his mother, Roman Catholic, a faith he still honors and loves.

For a time, Pastor Jim studied for the priesthood. He withdrew from seminary before his education was complete and, in his words, ...began the spiritual journey that was, as St. John of God put it: 'my dark night of the soul.' As the years passed God placed men and women of faith in his life that suggested paths and directions and always during that process I felt Jesus gently guiding and encouraging, He says, "In short, I found that as long as I continued to exalt God's will and to diminish my personal will, direction and purpose returned to my life."
In the last 30 years of his life he has come full circle in his journey and says, "If I had to define myself today I would say I am a disciple of Jesus Christ in my Faith and in my worship as that disciple of Jesus I am a liturgical Charismatic, to sum it up, the Church as described in the book of Acts. I believe that the first and foremost thing in life is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as friend, Lord and Savior. And having finally understood the love the Father has for us we need to respond with uninhibited joyous worship."

Pastor Jim lives with his spouse of 24 years, Joseph, and their 7 feline persons.

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from start to finish.
Hebrews 12:1-2
